We want the full 3-night Black Mountains plan at the best price: hill day, river day, Hay-on-Wye, dark skies and outdoor tub.
We decide two nights is the right length and want a much easier drive with vineyards, Rye, Tillingham and Bodiam nearby.
Another couple joins, making the higher price and bigger 2-bed / 3-bath setup make sense.
The dog-friendly, off-grid wildlife-reserve vibe wins — but check the exact 3-night price first.
We are sticking to the current plan. It is lovely, but the cost/location/hot-tub mismatch makes it the weakest fit.
Pumla for 3 nights. Swallowtail Hill for 2 nights. The Quist only if sharing. The Treehouse needs a price check. The Buzzardry gets cut.
